This page is about my 1994 Dodge Shadow ES with the Mitsubishi-made Chrysler 3.0 liter V-6. The car is kind of a sleeper, because people don't expect it to be as fast as it is. The car (w/minor mods) is capable of sub 15 second 1/4 mile times. I bought mine March 2000 with 80816 miles on it. It currently has 115000 miles as of January 2002.

Modifications:6/15/2000: Installed a Sony CDX-1200 reciever, and new speakers in the car. All 4 speakers are now 3-way, so all levels of audio (high, medium, and low) sound great. 6/20/2000 Installed a K&N Filtercharger (#RU-0910), and a K&N breather (#62-1340) for the PCV fresh air. Added probably 4-6 HP, so the car zooms now. The engine now sounds throatier than it was before from 4000 RPMs and up. 7/7/2000 Installed 180 degree thermostat, which will cool the engine and free up some HP. 10/27/00 Installed a larger 52mm throttle body, rather than the stock 46mm. Reportedly adds 6-10 hp, and I'd (and the neck of whoever happens to be in the passenger seat) have to agree. 01/15/02 Installed intake spacers. These are 1/2" spacers made of phenolic. They fit between the upper and lower intakes, effectively creating a longer runner length. Torque is up a few ft/lbs, and higher rpms breathe a little better.
Prices and lengths vary. Email me for information on where to get them.
No mods for a while. Would like to install a new exhaust and I need to upgrade the suspension badly. Sometime later an underdrive pulley, and hopefully BPE will have reprogrammed computers stocked by summer. |
